| Andrea Foster notes that College students use technology constantly. They text-message friends, compile playlists for their iPods, and are whizzes at updating their MySpace profiles. Dr Curt Bonk is a popular e-learning book who teaches in the department of Instructional Systems Technology and he is also adjunct in the School of Informatics at IU. Foster is well aware that this is just a start as Google, Microsoft, and others battle to archive the most books and journal articles for open searching with their Web browsers and more academically-oriented resources such as Citizendium and Scholarpedia seem to spring up each day. Given that these digital literacy and critical thinking skills are vital to study within the Web of Learning, such tests from ETS may soon become more important than any other test ever designed on this planet. |
