In addition to being an expert e-learning book, Dr. Bonk has over 205 publications on topics such as massive multiplayer online gaming, Wikibooks, online learning pedagogy, open source software, collaborative technologies, blogging, and synchronous and asynchronous computer conferencing. The Web is teeming with more than 100 million sites, up from 18,000 in 1995. Dr. Bonk is the author of the Handbook of Blended Learning: Global Perspectives, Local Designs (2006) as well as the book Empowering Online Learning: 100+ Activities for Reading, Reflecting, Displaying, and Doing (2008).
